Founder's Note
Getting into project management was a happy accident!
Honesty is extremely important to me, so I'll start as I mean to go on, by being honest. I didn't enjoy school and couldn't wait to leave. When I finished, I took the first job I could find, working in an office. I had no idea what career I wanted; I just hoped I'd fall into something along the way, and that's exactly what happened.
While working in a bank, I was asked to support a project implementing a new finance system. That was it. That was where it all began. I'd finally found something that excited me, something I was good at, and something I was genuinely passionate about: project management.
Fast forward years later: after building a long career working with many companies and delivering a wide range of projects, each with its own challenges - some enjoyable, some less so - I faced the uncertainty of redundancy. Rather than seeing it as a setback, I chose to take the leap and set up my own project management consultancy.
I know what makes a project succeed and what can make it stall. The honesty I began this story with is the same honesty I bring to every project.
